The most underprivileged are welcomed in Buddhist monasteries which offer them access to the education of young apprentice monks, the novices. More than a simple trip, we offer you a real-life experience: living in immersion in one of these Buddhist monasteries, in the Kathmandu region. You will be able to participate in the education of the young monks while living in immersion within the monastery and the Buddhist life. »

Adventure's itinerary

DAYS 1 TO 2
DEPARTURE AND ARRIVAL IN KATMANDU
Your flight will leave from the airport in the city of your choice. Upon arrival at the airport in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, our teams will welcome you and take you to your hotel, where you can settle in and rest to start the adventure in the best possible way!
DAY 3
VISIT OF KATMANDU
In order to start this trip smoothly, the first day is dedicated to the visit of Kathmandu, its monasteries, its markets and the famous monkey temple. In the evening, you will enjoy the legendary sunset from the Swoyanbhunath temple.
DAYS 4 TO 5
THE VALLEY OF KATMANDU
During two days, you will leave the city to discover the wonders of the Kathmandu valley. You will visit the villages of Bhakatpur and Panauti, and meet the locals. In the evenings, you will have a local cooking class.
DAYS 6 TO 11
IMMERSION IN THE MONASTERY
Let's go for an immersion in the Buddhist monastery! On the program, learning about life in the monastery, meetings with the monks, with the children... If you wish, you can give lessons to the children (English, mathematics, biology, ...).
DAYS 12 TO 13
TIME TO SAY GOODBYE
The adventure with the Buddhist monks is coming to an end... After a last night in the calm of Nepal, we will accompany you to the airport where you will take your return flight. You will arrive at your return airport the next day.

Local guides

This adventure is supervised by a French-speaking guide during the three days of the visit of Kathmandu. During the immersion in the monastery, you will be taken care of by one of the monks who live in the monastery on a daily basis. This monk speaks English. You will be in permanent contact with our French-speaking teams on site.
