Adventure's itinerary

DAY 1
ARRIVAL IN SAN JOSÉ
Flight to the city of San José. Direct flight or one stopover depending on the company. Reception at the airport then transfer to a local family where you will stay for the duration of your stay in Costa Rica.
DAY 2
THE ANIMAL SHELTER
Reception in the shelter and presentation of the daily program and members of the NGO. First moments of meeting the animals.
DAYS 3 TO 8
TOOK AFTER THE ANIMALS
Every day, take care of injured or orphaned animals from the rainforest, in a shelter whose mission is to reintroduce these animals into their natural habitat. You will prepare their food, take care of them, repair and clean their pens... Discover the story of each animal.
DAY 9 TO 10
FREE TIME
On Sunday and Monday, possibility to explore the beauty of Costa Rica: volcanoes, horseback riding, rafting, hot springs... Or take the opportunity to visit San José, the capital of Costa Rica. You too can take Spanish lessons and yoga classes close to your home.
DAY 11
TIME TO SAY GOODBYE
With plenty of memories after sharing these emotional moments, it's time to go home! Take a return flight, or continue your trip to Costa Rica.

Local guides

You will be accompanied on site by Jenny, with whom you will stay overnight and who will accompany you every day to the refuge. As for Paola, she will be the referent on the refuge.

« "Even travelling alone, well,almost alone, Odysway is always by your side, which is particularly reassuring. I chose to get involved in the aid project at the animal shelter in Escazu near San José, the capital of Costa Rica. Welcomed in the home of the local resident, in Escazu at Jenny's, a real mother who takes care of you throughout your stay.
If you speak English or Spanish then it will be even better, but I testify that with a basic English it is quite feasible. At the animal shelter, you will be welcomed by Paola, a passionate young woman who fights so that her little darlings return to the wild.

Costa Rica has an exceptional fauna and flora and is working to preserve this richness. At the refuge you will be with other international volunteers. In the program preparation and distribution of food, for parrots, sloths, monkeys. etc... In conclusion, enchanted by this stay, this part of the planet is beautiful! Costa Ricans are welcoming and proud of their country which is particularly pleasant."
